EM7 G3 Features

Cloud-Ready Network Management Fabric for globally distributed network operations.

Our award-winning EM7 G3 is the first solution designed specifically with the distributed needs of today's dynamic infrastructure in mind. Based on the EM7 product philosophy to provide holistic IT operations management solutions, EM7 G3 was completely re-engineered for the scale, security, automation and high availability necessary to simplify the exponentially harder task of managing resources and data that are constantly shifting.

We've taken heterogeneous computing management to the next level. Beyond monitoring for multiple operating systems, vendors and platforms, EM7 G3 supports the globally distributed network operations of large enterprises and service providers no matter where their resources reside - in enterprise data centers, in mobile or remote assets, in private clouds or in public clouds.

Integrated Management Applications Out-of-the-box

Every EM7 G3 solution includes a full set of infrastructure management applications that have already been integrated - saving you time and money. With EM7 G3, there are no extra modules to buy to enjoy the full functionality of the system.

Run Book Automation Engine
Automation is a critical enabler when it comes to managing large-scale operations efficiently. Beyond customizable monitoring policies built into every EM7 solution, runbook automation tools allow users to easily set-up remediation policies, especially for highly repeatable tasks, that are based upon an organization's own standard operating procedures. These policies cause EM7 to kick-off specific actions when triggered by a designated event. Create a ticket, send an email, make a SOAP request - these are just a few examples of the kinds of actions that can be performed by EM7 using run book automation.

Chargeback & Cost Allocation
No cloud-ready monitoring solution is complete without chargeback and cost allocation tools to help show customers that they pay for what they actually get. EM7 G3 automates the process and includes features to set up customized product catalog SKUs and associated billing rates and rules for direct costs, allocated or tiered costs and even metered costs based on actual collected performance data.

Virtualization Monitoring
Service delivery - and the components that support it - can span physical and virtual infrastructure, within an enterprise data center or out in a public cloud. EM7 G3 has it covered, providing the full operational picture plus granular data on virtual network, server, storage and application infrastructure components, for VMWare, Microsoft and Citrix virtual solutions all in a single tool.

Multi-Tenancy Access Control
Being a "service provider" means customers come first. EM7 G3 has an integrated flexible access control system that administrators can use to give customers or any group of constituents the views and granular level of management access specific to their needs.

Public & Private Cloud Monitoring
EM7 G3 provides the "service provider" tools necessary for granular and automated private cloud monitoring monitoring. User experience and service level monitors combine with the performance and availability data collected on infrastructure components to deliver true end-to-end application monitoring that extends cloud monitoring from the enterprise all the way out to public clouds.

Dynamic Applications
At the heart of every EM7 solution, Dynamic Applications provide best-practices based monitoring policies that extend EM7's flexible collection engine to any device or system sitting on the network. Administrators can easily create new Dynamic Applications or customize existing ones to collect business-specific performance and configuration data, set alerts and generate real-time and trended performance graphs and reports.

IPv6 Support - Dual-Stack IPv4/IPv6 Supported
EM7 G3 seamlessly supports IPv6 networks as part of Dynamic Discovery. IPv4 and IPv6 networks can equally be monitored in the same solution.
