Announcing V5
EM7 Highlight
EM7 Tips
The new Dashboard feature puts the control in the user's hands to create at-a-glance and composite views of monitoring and system metrics to show selected system health, availability, ticketing counts and more.
Accessible under the Views tab as "Dashboard Views", each Dashboard is made up of up to 9 Widgets. Each Widget is displayed in its own "tile" within the overall dashboard. A Widget is a generic term as it encompasses many kinds of graphical reports and can also be used to create mini-portals to ticketing or even links to other websites.
Some Widget types included in EM7 V5:
Customizable dashboards provide at-a-glance views of critical application performance and availability.
Easy Customization
Powerful yet simple customization tools are built right into the Widget and Dashboard features. Combined with Dynamic Applications, which extend EM7 monitoring to any networked device or component, the new Dashboard feature opens up virtually endless opportunities to view and analyze IT operations metrics.
Example Dashboard for a Windows System Administrator
Widget 1) Availability of overall Windows infrastructure
Widget 2) Queue Lengths collected via the Exchange Dynamic Application
Widget 3) Bandwidth utilization regarding links in the network
Widget 4) Ticket Creator
The Dashboard View can easily function as a type of "Home Page" providing a single, rolled-up view of key metrics collected by EM7 that is most important to a specific user or organization. For more information on how to do this, check out the V5 Release Notes.
