Prime contractor Unisys cites proactive Blackberry and Exchange management and continuity of operations as reasons for selection

ScienceLogic™ LLC, a leading provider of next-generation frameworks technology, today announced that Unisys Corp. (NYSE: UIS) has chosen the EM7™ IT Management Appliance to provide advanced infrastructure monitoring for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Unisys designed and delivered a consolidated HHS enterprise email solution that is intended to support 72,000 users across eight HHS operating divisions by providing managed services including desktop support, server support, service desk, server consolidation, continuity of operations/disaster recovery, training, application and server hosting, security operations, system and network monitoring and database and application administration.

Deploying a high-availability version of the EM7 appliance allows Unisys to add key capabilities to its broad-based support of HHS operations. New capabilities include:

  • Redundant systems monitoring providing a single cost-effective operations continuity solution for the geographically dispersed HHS data centers
